Our Process

Building a dream house is an exciting journey that requires careful planning and execution.

One of our sales team members will set up a time to meet with you on the property or online, depending on the scenario. This is the time to flush out the scope of the project and discuss your wants and needs. The sales rep will use this information to establish an initial estimate and to share any insights they may have in regards to the build.

Sales Call

At Boehm Construction we like to start things off right by giving you a free, rough, yet itemized estimate that will give you a better understanding of what your project might cost based on current market pricing and a wealth of construction knowledge.

Initial Estimate

After establishing a range of numbers for your project and getting to know each other better, the next step is to proceed with an interim or pre-construction contract that requires a deposit and an understanding that you are hiring Boehm Construction to begin with the planning portion of your project.

Pre-Construction Contract

This is when you are assigned a Project Manager and the rubber hits the road. We quickly get things in motion like surveys, design, choosing specs and selections, and project pricing. You will also be given access to our construction management software Builder Trend. This software will keep you up to date on all aspects of your project like budget, schedules, progress photos and much more!

Planning Phase

Now that we have your design just the way you like it, we will send it out for sub-trade pricing and be able to give you an even more clear understanding of construction costs. This is a great opportunity to evaluate all of your finishing selections and make sure they are in concert with your budget before the dust starts to fly.

Client Approval

We are ready to build! We will enter into a CCDC contract which is a standard construction contract and collect a final deposit. In most cases it’s also time to submit for your building permit, line up the sub-contractors and order materials.

Construction Contract

Depending on the scope of your project, it’s time for excavation, foundations, framing, electrical, etc. The prime directive for the Project Manager is to make sure the two most important metrics are being met, when is the project going to be finished and how much is it going to cost. Your PM will sit down with you every two weeks to review your latest invoice and provide you with all receipts associated with that invoice and make sure you are informed of any changes to budgets and schedules.

The Build

We are at the finish line! Your Project Manager will walk you through your new, beautiful space, issue you your home warranty and hand you the keys. Time to put your feet up and enjoy the view. If there are any issues, we are only a phone call away!
